"'UFO' Not Helicopter, Bell Says"

A report on a Canadian radio station today that strange lights seen over the Adam Beck power plant Tuesday morning actually were lights from a U.S. helicopter were denied today.

Three Niagara Falls police officers observed pulsating red, white and blue colors for almost an hour before the lights suddenly vanished.

A spokesman at the Bell Aerosystems Co. plant in Wheatfield, said that an Army helicopter took off Tuesday night from the Bell plant and probably was seen by many persons.

However, he denied that the helicopter was flying at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday when the officers saw the strange lights.

"Actually the Army helicopter does most of its flying during the day but sometimes goes out at night," said the official.
