Research and Investigation into Anomalous Light Phenomena
on and over Lake Ontario, Ontario, Canada

I had set up the camera and fixed it to record the moon, which, on this occasion was called the "Christ Moon." I was not aware of any change in appearance of the Moon until I looked at the footage the following day.

The Moon was full, and a pinkish colour on the video. There was a large, bright but distant light on the horizon in this frame.

Looking in this direction, over the lake, the distant shoreline is not actually visible even in the daytime. Occasionally, on a very clear day, one can see the "plume" of water spray over the Falls at Niagara, and also the top of the very high tower near the Falls.

A small white spot developed in the right lower area of the Moon. The bright light on the horizon had almost disappeared.

The spots in front of the Moon increased in size and were covering nearly an eighth of the Moon's surface. The light on the horizon was still visible in this frame.

I have no explanation for this phenomenon that occurred. The whole sequence took but a minute in time. I did not know that I had recorded this until I reviewed the videotape the following day.
